Payment in full is required prior to shipping.

All LTL and FedEx package shipments include a tracking number and estimated date of delivery. This date is for planning purposes only and not intended to be an exact date. Bartels is not responsible for shipping delays caused by the carrier or by actions beyond our control.

Claims for damaged or lost merchandise in transit must be reported to Bartels within three (3) business days of the confirmed delivery date. Replacement deliveries shall be made or returns accepted only if Bartels investigation supports the claim and if Bartels coordinated the transport/delivery of the order.

LTL Freight Deliveries

All doors are shipped via LTL Freight, via a carrier of our choosing. LTL freight shipments are delivered curbside. The receiver will be responsible for removing the crate(s) from the freight truck and moving them to where they intend to be stored. After multiple delivery attempts, if the shipment is stored at the carrier’s facility or returned to Bartels for any reason the Buyer is responsible for any/all incurred charges, including reshipping.

• PLEASE NOTE: Interior Doors are required to be stored in a climate-controlled area. Exposure to humidity in conventional storage and/or non-air-conditioned job sites can lead to warped, stained, or discolored finishes.

Bartels Doors is not responsible for damage due to improper storage.

An authorized person must be present at the time of delivery. If someone isn’t available to take the delivery additional fees may be invoiced.

The receiver/purchaser or purchaser’s agent must inspect the shipping crate and document any crate damage on the bill of lading with the LTL freight carrier at the time of delivery. All damages must be reported to Bartels within 48 hours of delivery. Failure to comply will disqualify customers from placing any claim of damage of the crate contents. If damage is caused but not documented, the purchaser waives all rights to claim damage of crate contents.

Fed Ex Package Deliveries

All packages are shipped with a signature required at the time of delivery.

If a package is shipped back to Bartels Doors due to incorrect shipping address or after multiple unsuccessful deliveries, additional shipping charges may be invoiced prior to any additional shipment.

Legal Notice

This contract shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with Florida law.

The venue for any litigation involving this contract will be in Broward County, Florida.  In addition, the prevailing party shall be entitled to reimbursement of its costs and attorney’s fees, including any appeals.
